If ANC isn’t that big of a deal for you (like me, you tend to wear one earbud at a time), you can instead snap a set of AirPod 4 without ANC. They’re a $10 discount.

I handed the airpods 4 through ANC. Apple has improved audio quality compared to previous versions, and the earbuds fit better than the AirPods 3. I also found ANC to be quite effective. However, the lack of onboard volume control remains a disappointment.
The AirPods 4 uses the same H2 chip as the AirPods Pro 2. That is, it shares some features with the high-end model. They support personalized spatial audio with voice separation, dynamic head tracking, personalized volumes and adaptive EQ. The ANC-enabled model also includes conversation recognition, adaptive audio, and transparency modes. Additionally, the charging case that comes with the ANC version includes QI-compatible wireless charging and built-in speakers for Find My. However, the AirPods Pro 2’s advanced hearing health features do not exist here.
