X-Ray Recaps uses generative AI to create “short, easy-to-digest summaries” of entire TV seasons, single episodes, or portions of episodes. They’re all personalized, so your summaries will show you “the exact minute you’re watching.” The company promises details such as “short text excerpts of major cliffhangers, character-driven plot points.”
Adam Gray, vice president of product for Prime Video, said the tool helps customers “quickly get back to what they were watching or rediscover why they fell in love with a series in the first place.” states. It is powered by Amazon Bedrock, the company’s proprietary AWS service for building and scaling AI applications. For those worried about spoilers, the AI is trained to avoid spoilers at all costs.
This is an extension to the existing X-Ray feature that provides trivia and casting information during the stream. I love this tool so much that I’m always surprised that other streamers haven’t adopted something like this.
