Wolves aren’t your typical big man. He has the skill of points, and has the ability to handle the ball, play, and even stretch the floor. Wolf is a sophisticated and fluid player for his size, and his passing and ball handling make him a nightmare of match-ups for opposing teams. He’s like the centre version Kyle Anderson Attacking, in the shade of a poor man Nicola Jokic In his ability to carry out attacks from the High Post.
He gets a bit flashy with passes, and can lead to sales, and sometimes he gets tunnel vision when he’s trying to play the perfect game rather than taking a simple bucket. Defensively, he’s OK with his size, but his lateral speed is limited, he’s longer and more fighting athletes. There’s a real question about who he’s security at the NBA level. He’s not explosive enough to become a rim protector and not fast enough to switch to security guard consistently. His jumper is also ongoing work. While he shows what he shows, he can hit three people with a decent clip, but his mechanics are messy and there are concerns about how his shots will be converted to a deeper NBA three-point line.
