PHILADELPHIA (CelebrityAccess) — Eclectic experimental rock band Ween have announced they are “taking a break” from touring for the foreseeable future and have canceled all upcoming shows.
In a statement announcing the decision, shared on social media, a spokesperson said:
“It is with deep regret and heavy hearts that Ween must make the decision to step back from the stage for the time being. This includes their sold-out Chocolate & Cheese 30th Anniversary show at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia next month.”
“We’ve had three amazing shows this summer, but it’s becoming clear that continuing touring and performing has taken too much of a toll on Diener’s mental health. As always, we thank you all for your love, dedication and continued support Vienna.”
The news of the tour hiatus follows the cancellation of a tour earlier this year, as well as multiple shows this summer being cancelled without explanation.
Mickey “Dean Ween” Melchiondo cited the need to “maintain my own mental health and emotional well-being” as the reason for canceling his spring tour.
