Tom Hardy is an actor with a large pedigree when it comes to intense behavior. From her role as Max Rockatansky in 2015’s “Mad Max: Fury Road,” Eddie Brock/Venom in the “Venom” film trilogy is a trustworthy hand whenever the project calls out a character that shines with the latest abilities for violence. Meanwhile, thanks to Indonesian martial arts crime thrillers The Raid and The Raid 2, Gareth Evans has established himself as a filmmaker who is extremely skilled at clashing with sparkling characters who have the ability to clash with each other for violence in a fun way.

Combining these two celebrities with Netflix gives you the “crash” of hyper-violent shooting that the streaming platform dropped on April 25, 2025. In fact, according to FlixpatrolAs of April 28th, “Havoc” has dominated “Havoc,” Netflix’s top 10 list in the US. It sits comfortably in the top spots of Charles Martin Smith’s dog adventure “A Dog’s Way Home,” the crime drama “Ihostage” from the Dutch Apple Store, and Clint Eastwood’s controversial 2014 biographical war drama “American Sniper.” Even Gru and The Minions don’t match Evans and Hardy. “Despable Me 4” was knocked down to fifth place as he has been running for years on the Netflix charts.

Havoc is a brutal film with impressive action scenes that match the title
Between its abundant action scenes, “Havoc” tells the story of Patrick Walker (Tom Hardy), a dirty cop working for the powerful Lawrence Beaumont (Forest Whitaker), where his son, Charlie (Justin Cornwell) falls into deep trouble with the Triad. The rescue mission that follows is best explained in the film’s title, and the film is packed with amazing action that you’d expect from both Evans and Hardy…and gives us a decent new entry to the list of strange Tom Hardy voices that have expanded to date.

The violent, obviously stupid action of this film will let the viewers shallow with pieces of a truly impressive set, and is unrealistic for the guns that Evans knows. At the same time, there is logic as to how these scenes work, as the filmmakers explained in their exclusive interview with Ben Pearson in the film. Judging by the film’s immediate streaming success, Netflix viewers seem happy with “Havoc” and the way its action unfolds.
