Pamela Anderson and Jamie Lee Curtis interviewed paradeand both actresses said there is “no perfect way” to balance motherhood while pursuing a career.
Anderson has two children, Brandon (27) and Dylan (26), with ex-husband Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee.
Jamie Lee Curtis also has two children, Annie, 38, and Ruby, 28, with husband Christopher Guest.
In “The Last Showgirl,” Anderson’s character is told by her daughter that she has been “hurt” by her mother’s career.

“At the heart of the film is the story of a single mother who makes the choice to do her art, and the consequences of her child coming back and saying, ‘I’m hurt that you chose your art over mine.’ That’s the result,” Curtis said. . “Most working mothers around the world will watch this film and relate to its complex issues.”
“I have two children, ages 38 and 28, and I have worked and suffered for their entire lives,” she continued. “And they’ve suffered for it. It’s a complicated dance.”
“There’s no perfect method,” Anderson says. “We’re all going to face our adult children and ask for forgiveness. It’s still always heartbreaking. I just feel responsible.”

Both actresses were nominated for SAG Awards for “The Last Showgirl.”
“The Last Showgirl” is a new film from director Gia Coppola about a 57-year-old Las Vegas dancer whose long-running show “Le Razzle Dazzle” is coming to an end.
Curtis plays Anderson’s best friend in the film, and both women were nominated for Screen Actors Guild Awards for their performances. Curtis is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, and Anderson is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture.

Anderson talks about his feelings about aging
Anderson, 57, has come to terms with aging and often appears on red carpets without makeup.
After making headlines for appearing at Paris Fashion Week without makeup in March 2024, the former “Baywatch” actress shared the following post. Instagram It summed up her feelings about what’s important in life.
“Life humbles you,” she wrote. “As we get older…we stop chasing the big things and start valuing the small things…alone time, getting enough sleep, eating right, long walks, and quality time with loved ones. Simplicity becomes the ultimate goal.”

Curtis also speaks candidly about aging.
Curtis, 66, also shared her feelings about aging, noting that getting older requires courage.
“Aging is not for the faint of heart,” she said. “It’s a really brave moment to look in the mirror and see the truth.”
The “Halloween” actress also said social media and filters don’t help “because people have to accept who they are.”
“Nobody can come out of it without facing it,” she added. “You’re going to try to do it gracefully at some point. I tried to do it a little gracefully, too, but I failed.”
She also noted the irony of spending most of one’s life claiming to be older than one’s actual age.
“I’ve said all my life that I’m older than I am,” Curtis said. “For example, when I’m 25 and I say I’m almost 30, people are like, ‘No, I’m 25,’ and I’m like, ‘I know, but you’re 30 when you kiss.’ That’s why I’ve always been me.” I’ve always been older. ”

“The Last Showgirl” was filmed in 18 days.
Curtis revealed that The Last Showgirl was shot in just 18 days. The “True Lies” star also said that the set was predominantly female.
“The dynamic is that this movie was made in 18 days,” Curtis said. “It was a really intense and beautiful kind of fusion of artists and women, mostly women. And, you know, we’re playing best friends, so the immediacy of that was kind of weird, in a weird way. As soon as we touched, it was like, ‘Oh, yeah,’ and then we kept going, like all of my life experiences were reflected in her. ”
