Miley Cyrus Breaks Silence On Alleged Family Feud

On Saturday, May 10th, Miley joined her Instagram story to deal with the feud between her and her family.

“We rarely comment on rumors, but my mom and I are too tight to come between us,” she wrote. “She’s my best friend. Like many moms, she didn’t know how her cell phone works and somehow unleashed me.

The “Wrecking Ball” singer also gave fans insight into her relationship with her father after posting photos of the two along with her son Brayson and Miley’s boyfriend Max Moland.

“My dad and I have been trying for many years,” Miley told fans. “Now in my 30s, my family is my priority above all. I know that bridges are built and time is so much healing.”

“I appreciate the health and love that flows through my family,” she added.

After Billy Ray hinted at reconciliation with her daughter on Instagram, social media users quickly realized that Tish had unleashed her. However, she said Unfollow was not intentional.

On Wednesday, she wrote in an Instagram comment, “I didn’t,” adding, “Idk what happened.”

In another comment, she emphasized that “I don’t know how it happened” but was chasing her daughter on the platform again.

This is the first time Miley has worked on a feud. Tish and Billy Ray are Trace and Brandi who married in 1993 and adopted a child from a previous relationship. The couple welcomed Miley, Bra and Noah before going their separate ways in 2022.

After the divorce, when Tish began dating “Prison Rest” actor Dominique Purcell, it seemed like there were more issues with the Cyrus family. Speculation suggests Purcell was dating Tisch’s daughter Noah before their relationship became romantic. They tied the knot in Miley’s Malibu home in August 2023. Noah was not particularly present.

That same year, Miley said Trendy It was a “very emotional” moment for her to be happy to see her mother “in love with happiness” and being a maid of honor at her wedding.

“Dom and my mother share the sweetest, most authentic love. It’s like a first time. It’s a fitting one for my mother.

“For some reason, my mother has become even more beautiful,” she continued. “This day was special and magical. Standing by my mother and giving her to Dom is a moment I cherish for the rest of my life.”

Despite rumors that Miley had collapsed with her mother, the two seem to have always been close. In 2023, she told the publication that Tish spent most of her life helping her daughter “behind the scenes.”

“She always started with a cheerleading competition and eventually prepared me a lot on the set or behind the scenes before the performance,” she explained.. “She has never stopped celebrating me and has supported my decision very much. I’m old and I’m honored to be that person for her.”

The two were so close that we walked together on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards Saturday Night Live 2025 will mark the 50th anniversary special.

Miley’s comments about her family came out a day after she released her latest single, “More To Lose” on May 9th. The song is the fourth single to be released from her upcoming album, “Phony Beautiful,” which is scheduled to be released on May 30th.
