Some really bad news came out of Hollywood this weekend.
Law enforcement authorities believe that Jeff Baena, a writer and director who was married to actress Aubrey Plaza, has died.
He was 47 years old.
Baena is best known for directing the horror comedy Life After Beth, the dark comedy Josie, and co-writing the cult classic I Heart Huckabees with director David O. Russell. It seems that

Baena was born and raised in Miami and later attended film school at New York University. Immediately after graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and began her career in the entertainment industry.
Overall, he has directed and/or written more than a dozen feature films.
Baena began dating Plaza in 2011.
The couple kept their relationship top secret for years, never announcing their engagement or even marriage.
Most people didn’t even know they became a couple until Plaza called Baena her “beloved husband” in an Instagram post in May 2021.
“So proud of my darling husband @jeffbaena for taking us to Italy and dreaming up another movie that would cause even more trouble,” the star’s caption read at the time.
According to various sources, the 47-year-old man was found at his home by his assistant.
The call announcing his death came in around 10:30 p.m. Friday. The county medical examiner is still officially We have identified the cause.
