Everyone loves parlays, but they rarely come true, especially parlays that are calculated to be nearly 469 to 1. But after Sunday night’s Week 3 games, one bettor was hoping Ja’Marr Chase would hit the jackpot.
He made a three-legged parlay on three different players scoring the first touchdown in each game.
The first leg was a Giants vs. Browns match with Amari Cooper scoring first at +700, and the second leg was a Bears vs. Colts match with Jonathan Taylor scoring first at +500.
Both players did so, meaning bettors were offered large cash-out options by DraftKings Sportsbook.
His initial bet of $250 could have resulted in a profit of $11,536.92 if he had given up his third bet – that Chase would score the first touchdown in the Monday Night Football game between the Bengals and Commanders. Instead, he held on to the bet and risked winning nothing if Chase did not win.
But he did.
Just three minutes into the first quarter, Joe Burrow threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to Chase to put Cincinnati up 7-0. With odds of +46805, he would have won a whopping $117,262.50 via DraftKings Sportsbook. Watch his reaction below:
Chase continued to score, finishing with six catches for 118 yards and two scores, but the Bengals lost the game, 38-33.
