The New York Giants’ chaotic quarterback situation has taken another unfortunate turn just one week before their Thanksgiving showdown with the Dallas Cowboys.
After the Giants were benched and then released Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito made his first start of the season and threw for 189 yards in a 30-7 loss to the Buccaneers, but a forearm injury caused the Giants to lose him on the 26th. It is expected that he will be moved to another starter. Thursday.
Tommy DeVito injury update
DeVito, who took several hits and was waived four times in his first start last weekend, was listed as questionable for this week due to a forearm injury. DeVito did not practice with the team Wednesday, and coach Brian Daboll said DeVito is “not 100 percent.”
How long will Tommy DeVito be out?
Given that DeVito is only listed as questionable and the Giants have an extended layoff until their Week 14 game on December 8th. DeVito could return next week against the Saints.
It may depend on Drew Lock’s play against the Cowboys. DeVito is far from an established starter, so if Lock restores the Giants’ offense, it’s possible that Lock will be the starter for the rest of the season.
