Like its predecessor, Opal is a tabletop ice maker that promises to deliver easy-to-eat nugget ice to your home in sleek and stylish packaging. However, the 2.0 version has added a number of smart features to make it as easy to obtain as possible.

There is just one issue with GE Opal 2.0, and it could be a big one. This is a heavy product, but I’m not talking about physical size. Sure, there are more affordable options, but none of them offer Opal’s smart features, which makes a pretty big difference in my opinion.
GE does not advertise Opal 2.0 Nugget Ice Maker As a budget friendly option. Frankly, at more than twice the price of a cheaper machine, it’s quite expensive in itself, and that price will definitely be a barrier for some people.
