Roborock just put its microphone into the robot vacuum market at CES 2025 with the launch of the Saros Z70 robot vacuum, which has a mechanical arm that removes obstacles in its path. The company also launched two new robot vacuums: Saros 10 and Saros 10R.

The Saros Z70 features a foldable mechanical arm with OmniGrip technology that automatically deploys to remove obstacles less than 300 grams or approximately 8 ounces. The 5-axis arm will initially be limited to socks, small towels or cloths, tissues or napkins, and sandals, but Roborock plans to add more items over time.
Roborock Saros Z70 sweeps the floor and identifies objects that can be lifted on the first pass. The robot then returns to pick up and put away the identified items and clean the areas it missed.
The new Roborock Saros Z70 finally solves the problem many robot vacuum users face: picking up all the socks and small toys on the floor before vacuuming. This is to prevent the robot vacuum’s roller brush from getting stuck and leaving the robot vacuum idle until you rescue it. This is one of the most annoying problems with robot vacuums. This is especially true if you run your robot vacuum while you’re away, and when you come back, the floor is dirty and the robot is stuck a few feet away from where it started cleaning hours ago.
The OmniGrip arm is equipped with high-precision sensors, cameras, and LED lights to detect and process visual information about obstacles in its path.

The robot arm vacuum cleaner becomes Roborock’s latest flagship product. Roborock S8 MaxV Pro Ultra. This feature is initially disabled and must be enabled in the Roborock app during setup. You can also customize the arm’s behavior, such as specifying where to place objects when they are picked up. In some demos by Roborock, this was usually a basket placed on the floor.
As a safety measure, the vacuum cleaner is equipped with a child lock, a safety stop button and measures to prevent the mechanical arm from deploying when blocked.
According to Roborock, the Saros Z70 robot vacuum and mop has 22,000Pa of suction power, making it an industry leader in suction power. Scheduled to be available in the first half of 2025, the Saros Z70 features Roborock’s dual anti-tangle system with a FreeFlow main brush and adjustable FlexiArm riser side brushes to prevent hair from getting tangled in the vacuum.
The dual rotating mop lifts up to 22mm when mopping, which is enough to keep even medium pile carpets dry while vacuuming or mopping. Before vacuuming or mopping hard floors, you can tell the robot to vacuum the carpet and the mop will automatically be removed on the dock. Dreamy X40 Ultra.

Roborock is also launching two new robot vacuums, the Saros 10 and Saros 10R, which don’t have a mechanical arm but have many of the S70’s core features. The Saros 10 has a retractable laser distance sensor (LDS) that allows it to be stowed so it can pass through tight spaces, such as under furniture, without getting stuck.
Saros 10 can detect obstacles in its path, such as cables laid out on the floor. It also features industry-leading 22,000Pa suction, Matter support, and Roborock’s VibraRise mop technology. Saros 10 launches this month and can be purchased alongside RockDock Ultra 2.0. Features a tempered glass finish, easy access to trash cans and tanks, hot water mop cleaning, automatic mop removal, and 2.5-hour fast charging.
