Fortinet buys Israel’s Perception Point

US cyber company Fortinet (NASDAQ: FTNT) has made a new acquisition in Israel. The target companies this time are perception pointspecializes in email security protection. The acquisition price is believed to be approximately $200 million.

Perception Point, which has more than 100 employees in Israel, has estimated annual recurring revenues of $15 million, meaning the all-cash transaction represents 10 to 15 times revenue. The company has raised $50 million. From Pitango, State of Mind Ventures and Red Dot Capital Partners.

Perception Point has become one of the fastest growing cyber companies in the email space, but it is also behind the rapid growth of large cyber platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, and even Wiz. I was having a hard time. So while looking for a buyer over the past few months, Fortinet, the company’s second acquisition in Israel after enSilo, found the opportunity. Cyber ​​industry insiders recalled that Check Point successfully acquired Avanant for just $275 million. Avanan currently generates more than $100 million in annual revenue for Check Point.

Perception Point was founded in 2015 by long-time business owners Shlomi Levin and Michael Aminov. The company’s CEO is Yoram Salinger.
