Philadelphia – The Eagles have agreed to a multi-year extension with manager Nick Cirianni, the team announced Monday.
No extension conditions have been disclosed.
“As an organization, we have always strived to create a championship culture of sustainable success,” Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said in a statement. “There’s nothing more important to fostering such an environment than having incredible leadership. Nick has embodied everything he’s been looking for as a head coach since he hired him four years ago.
Lurie had suggested that the extension would soon be coming at the NFL’s annual meeting in Palm Beach, Florida last month.
Before the extension, Sirianni was scheduled to enter the final year of the five-year contract he signed when he was hired by the Eagles in 2021.
The 43-year-old Silianni is 48-20, the third highest in his Super Bowl era with his win rate (.706). He was 6-3 in the postseason and led his team to two Super Bowl appearances, including a decisive victory over this February against Kansas City’s Chiefs.
The Eagles collapsed down a 1-6 stretch in 2023, breaking down and making a 2-2 start in this past season. However, the team responded 16-1, including the postseason, to deliver the second Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia.
