Boston College WR Dinotomlin, the son of Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Miktumlin, will be taking part in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie minicamp. All Ashley Liotus from Wtae.
For the Tomlin family, this is a cool full circular moment as he was a defensive back coach from 2001 to 2005, as his first stop as an NFL coach was with Buccaneers. Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said in 2022 via ESPN He has a good relationship with Tomlin, and now he will have the opportunity to see if his son has what he needs to make a roster for the Buccaneers.
Dino Tomlin began his college career in Maryland ahead of the 2022 season before transferring to Boston University. In his career, he made 40 receptions for 552 yards and the best season came in 2023 when he had 24 receptions for 312 yards. On BC’s Pro Day, Tomlin measured at 5113 and 182 pounds and ran a 4.45 40 yard dash. He also had a 38-inch vertical jump, a wide jump of 10’06-inch and a 4.37 20-yard shuttle time. It was suitable for excellent speed and an explosive grade 6.63 RAS score. He was originally a three-star recruit in the 2019 class.
If Dino Tomlin creates the Buccaneers roster, he will join one of the league’s most talented receiver rooms. Tampa Bay features Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Jalen McMillan, Trey Palmer and first-round pick Emeka Egbuka. It offers him a good opportunity to learn and develop many talented receivers, especially Evans and Godwin veterans. He will also play alongside Egbuka at Tampa Bay’s rookie minicamp.
Three Boston College players were selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, with Edged Novan Ezellak heading to the Dallas Cowboys with a 44th overall pick, while OT Ozzy Trapilo was drafted with a 56th overall pick for the Chicago Bears. C Drew Kendall was chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles and was given an overall selection of Issue 156.
Interestingly, there are NFLs connected to both Trapilo and Kendall, like Dino Tomlin. Trapiro’s father Steve played for the Saints of New Orleans, while Kendall’s father, Pete, played 13 NFL seasons with the Seahawks, Cardinals, Jets and Washington.
It should be a great opportunity for Dino Tomlin to try out a way to tackle the NFL roster. It’s a tough battle, but growing up with Mike Tomlin should be prepared for what his father needs to succeed in the harsh realities of the NFL and sometimes the league.
