The Steelers have a rich history of great players, which is one of the reasons they have won six Super Bowls. Before last week’s game, the Steelers called on one of their former players to lead a “terrible towel-twirling.”
As revealed on the team’s Twitter, Former Steelers linebacker Joey Porter led a nasty towel-twirling before a game against the New York Giants. Porter was an integral part of the Steelers’ Super Bowl-winning defense during the 2005 season. He was a picture-perfect pass rusher for the Steelers, and now his son is blossoming into the Steelers’ No. 1 corner.
Chiefs trade for OLB
The Steelers are in a good spot at 6-2, but they still have some daunting games left on their schedule. In particular, the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas is likely to be a tough battle. The Chiefs may have gotten a little tougher, too.
According to reports FOX Sports Insider Jordan Schultz The Chiefs traded for linebacker Josh Uche from the New England Patriots. Uche has been in the league since 2020, accumulating 20.5 sacks during that time. That includes two sacks this year. He may not be a household name, but he’s a good asset for the Chiefs.
Former Steelers LB to UFL
For some players, staying in the NFL can be more difficult than getting there. The average NFL career isn’t that long. However, there are other paths to playing soccer professionally. The United Football League is a great option to give players a second chance at their dreams. Former Steelers linebacker Travis Feeney knows that all too well.
Feeney was drafted by the Steelers in 2016, but never played in an actual game with the team. However, he still continues to play soccer. Feeney has bounced around several different leagues, but his current home is with the UFL’s St. Louis BattleHawks. He was with the team in 2023, but as UFL PR recently reported on Twitter, the team has decided to re-sign him. Maybe someday he’ll return to the NFL.
