Steelers Style Captain
The Steelers host several fun events throughout the year to raise money for charities. One of the most popular events is Steelers Style, a fashion event where players and special guests walk the runway and raise money for Steelers Charities. It’s a great way to combine football and fashion to help with charity. The co-captains for this year’s event were also recently announced.
On Steelers YouTube channel, Pat Friarmouth and Larry Ogunjobi have been announced as co-captains for this year’s tournament, which will be held on Friday, October 4th. Tickets are on sale now. Let’s see who’s the most stylish this year.
Watt Competition
The Watt family has produced some incredible athletes. TJ and JJ are both Pro Football Hall of Fame bets, and Derek had a successful career as a fullback. All three are blessed with talent, so they’ve likely been competitive their whole lives. And that competitiveness is about to come into play.
As Derek Watt made the announcement on his Instagram. He and TJ have teamed up with taco brand Old El Paso to compete in the kitchen. The brothers have previously worked with the brand and released several commercials with them, and now JJ will be the judge to see who is the better chef.
Big Ben debut anniversary
It feels like it was just yesterday that Ben Roethlisberger made his Steelers debut. That was exactly 20 years ago. It’s hard to believe, considering how much time has passed and how much has happened: Roethlisberger wasn’t even scheduled to play in that game; the Baltimore Ravens just happened to have an injured starter, Tommy Maddox.
Unfortunately for Maddox, the Steelers never looked back. Two Super Bowls, six Pro Bowls, 418 touchdowns and 64,088 passing yards later, Roethlisberger is headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. And yes, he’ll be inducted in his first year of eligibility. That’s what his resume does to you.
