They won’t do it because it would cost a lot of cash, but if I were the Nets, I’d try to use the Ben Simmons deal to steal a pick from the Heat and Suns to play against Bradley Beal. Probably. I later came up with a fake injury so he wouldn’t interfere with the tank. – 6:13pm

Bradley Beal says he was surprised to be benched, Suns didn’t mention him about trade rumors

That situation changed on Monday when Suns coach Mike Budenholzer decided to put Beal back on the bench in an unexpected move to revitalize a team that had lost 17 of its past 24 games. It attracted even more attention. “We have not had any discussions about a trade with the Suns or any other team,” Bartelstein said. “Bradley is committed to turning things around for the Suns.” -via ESPN / January 8, 2025
Due to his $216 million annual salary and trade restrictions for being a second apron team, Phoenix has no functional way to acquire Butler without using Beal as part of a trade. Bartelstein did not rule out the possibility of waiving the terms of Beal’s approved contract if the “perfect” situation were to arise, as was the case in 2023 when Beal was traded to the Suns. However, Bartelstein reiterated that that measure is not currently under consideration. -via ESPN / January 8, 2025
