“Ayodhya is the greatest city where Lord Ram was born,” goes a popular proverb. Believers prove this to be true. On Republic Day, a large number of devotees from all of you gathered in Ayodhya and surprised everyone. Ram Lalla broke records and was visited by more than 250,000 devotees in just 30 hours. More believers are still arriving. Most of them visit Ram Lalla and Hanuman’s Garhi temple. Ayodhya is expected to remain crowded with devotees till the upcoming Amavasya and Basant Panchami Festivals.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had predicted that Ayodhya would see a large number of devotees, similar to Mahakam in Prayagraj. Therefore, he directed officials to ensure that devotees visiting Ayodhya do not face any difficulties.
Following the directions of the Chief Minister, the district administration is on alert. Officials including Commissioner Gaurav Dayal, IG Praveen Kumar and District Magistrate Chandravijay Singh are constantly monitoring the situation and making crowd control arrangements.
Ayodhya became overcrowded: roads and passageways were filled with devotees
Despite the government’s efforts to widen roads in Ayodhya, the city’s streets are still clogged considering the large number of devotees to the Ram temple. Like Delhi’s Kartaviya road, the newly constructed RAM pass, built at a crawl cost, is also filled with devotees.
The roads leading to Ram temple, Janmabhoomi path, Bhakti path to Hanumangarhi and Dharm path are all filled with devotees. Every passageway in Ayodhya is crammed with people, making it difficult to navigate the city.
A new route has opened for Ram Temple devotees
To manage the large number of devotees visiting the Ram temple, the trust had initially arranged for the devotees to leave from Angad Tierra. However, due to an unexpected surge in crowds, the exit route has been expanded to also include gate number 3.
Additionally, new lanes have been created to accommodate the over 1.5 km long queue of devotees waiting to visit Hanuman Garhi.

- All necessary arrangements were made to ensure a comfortable stay for the devotees.
