Mikey Madison, 25, is currently an Oscar winner and brings home the best actress for her lead role in “Anora” (but her character prefers “Ani”). Madison’s Anola is stumbling over her relationship with Vanya (Mark Edelstein), a sex worker in her mid-20s, a second-generation Russian immigrant and the son of an oligarch. Her Cinderella story turns into a screwball comedy, then turns her back to the right and begins when Vanya’s disapproved parents learn that they’re eloping.
We are huge fans of “Anora” in the film and proudly call it the best movie of 2024. Madison’s performance is a big part of why we love it so much, and her Oscar victory definitely adds to her career. “Anola” undoubtedly proves that she has the presence and talent of the screen to keep her reaching even higher heights.
I first saw Madison act in “at the time of Hollywood,” and for the first time I noticed She was when she played Amber Freeman in “Scream.” Her big eyes and smile gave her the perfect face for a fake incent killer. As my colleague BJ Colangello pointed out, Madison is the first ghost face to become an Oscar winner!
“Anora” director Sean Baker also noticed Madison’s performance on “Scream,” and once he did, he wanted to work with her. I I like it Madison in “Scream”, but her performance in “Anora” blew me away. She is hysterical, explodes into moxie and charisma, revealing the right amount of vulnerability. Her affected Brooklyn accent is thick, but it doesn’t feel like a caricature. It feels like Anni is playing herself as a tough girl on Nu York Street, not Madison. The actress makes Annie feel like a real person who quickly fits into the real sex worker playing Annie’s colleagues.
Mikey Madison rode the Oscars on the waves of Anora.
Looking at the full list of winners, “Anora” was This big winner of Oscars is not two ways about it. Baker also brought home the Best Director, Best Edin, and the best original script, but the film itself took the best photos.
Prior to this, Madison had won several victories at the awards circuit, including her best performance at the Independent Spirit Awards, Best Actress of the Online Film Critics Association, groundbreaking performance at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, and leading actresses from Bufftas. However, the expected favourite was Demi Moore from “Materials.” Moore had won the best actress at the Golden Globe Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards and, definitively, the Screen Actors Guild Awards, a voting agency made up of her fellow performers. And the actor has such a overwhelming majority in the Oscar voting ranks, so it was a good bet for Moore to win another trophy at the Academy Awards.
It’s fascinating that Moore fans dismiss Madison as a shiny new one (especially considering what the “entities” are…), but it does harm “anora.”
Madison currently stands as the ninth youngest woman to win the best actress ever. “This is very surreal,” she opened her acceptance speech. She played an anora accent, but her words show signs of the dreamer.

Anora may have lost at the fairy tale ending, but Oscar crowned Mikey Madison as the latest acting queen.
