Pitching is on fire again.
A few stars on the mound (both with fresh faces and often travelled) illuminated it last season, including a Pittsburgh rookie.
It’s pretty much time to see which flame lower can etch their name. MLB History books from the 2025 season onwards.
As of June 10th, let’s take a look at the odds for the AL and NL Cy Young Awards on the Draftkings Sportsbook.
American League Cy Young 2025
Talic Skeuvar:-180 (bet $10 to win a total of $15.56)
Max Fly: +800 (bet $10 to win a total of $90)
Hunter Brown: +850 (bet $10 to win a total of $95)
Jacob DeGrom: +900 (bet $10 to win a total of $100)
Garrett Crochet: +1000 (bet $10 to win a total of $110)
What I Know: Detroit Tarik Skubal won the AL last season, but it seems he might just go back and forth. The 28-year-old has a strong start in 2025, following 13 starts and 105 strikeouts, a 2.16 ERA and 0.82 WHIP. The last pitcher to win two awards in a row was Jacob DeGrom of the New York Mets in 2018 and 2019. The second on the board is Yankees’ Max Fried, who is 8-1 with an ERA of 1.78 with a 13th start.
National League Cy Young 2025
Paul Skens:-180 (bet $10 to win a total of $15.56)
Yoshinobu Yamamoto: +475 (bet $10 to win a total of $57.50)
Zach Wheeler: +900 (bet $10 to win a total of $100)
Chris Sale: +1400 (bet $10 to win a total of $150)
Logan Webb: +1800 (bet $10 to win a total of $190)
What I Know: Pittsburgh’s Paul Skens can’t buy a victory. He starts at 4-6, 14, most of which has to do with a lack of offensive support. He has had 1.88 ERA and 92 strikeouts so far this season. He lost four of his final five starts, but in those five starts he allowed a total of seven winning runs while batting 32 innings. With these four most recent losses, the Pirates scored a total of four runs.
