Hello friends! Happy Friday! How was your week? I think it was wonderful. Ours started in Orlando and ended up with a sick pilot and me flopping back to TUS (lol). This weekend I’m looking forward to the symphony orchestra, time with friends, hiking, and a trip to Phoenix for Liv’s first dance competition of the season.
(Soup season! Just add a bunch of vegetables, broth, herbs, and beans to the Instant Pot and top with lemon juice and avocado.)
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Disney World Adventures:
Disney was perfect as always. We arrived late Friday night and got some sleep before heading to Magic Kingdom on Saturday. We enjoyed all the rides all day and had lunch at Be Our Guest. This is one of our regulars, but on this trip the food was especially great.
(I also had a GF roll and French onion soup made without croutons)
I told the server I was a girlfriend – she asked if anyone at the table had allergies and I said I don’t have allergies but am avoiding it for health reasons – And she brought lots of gluten free treats!!
I have to admit that I was underwhelmed by the food on my last Disney cruise, but the food at the parks this time around was much better. Everything was fresh and delicious, and it was very easy to find gluten-free options, proteins, and veggies among the usual Disney popcorn and sweet treats. 😉
We arrived at the park at 11 o’clock and had a leisurely lunch, but still managed to enjoy 15 attractions and the park was closed.
It was my first time playing Tron, and it was a lot of fun.
Sunday was a bit wet with thunderstorms expected throughout the day.
We wore ponchos (usually bought on Amazon, about $15 at the park) and brought that as well. shoe poncho, That ended up saving the day!! We were completely dry and no one had wet feet. 😉
The good news was that the rain had eased, there were no thunderstorms, and we were able to enjoy all the rides and attractions. I have a strange fear of dinosaurs. I think it’s because dinosaurs used to be real, and it really scared them. And my family convinced me to overcome my fear and ride a dinosaur.
It went really well (laughs).
The Avatar ride was a much-needed palate cleanser. Flight of Passage was amazing every time.
We saw the Lion King show (which was very good) and had lunch at Satu’li Canteen.
(chicken, sweet potato, coleslaw, chimichurri sauce)
We finished the night at Disney Springs and woke up early for our Monday morning flight.
It was a quick but fun trip and the perfect way to celebrate Liv’s 13th birthday.
Here are some of our favorites from this week.

Fashion + Beauty + Random:
Tucker Knack Sale! There were a lot of great bargains at this sale, but I restrained myself a little and ordered three dresses.
A classic dress that can be dressed up or down
I’m looking forward to wearing this dress with white sneakers
I love everything about Veronica Beard right now.
Read, watch, listen:
I feel inspired after reading this book.
When you are unhappy, your soul cries out for nourishment.
my friend julie mentioned the program young Today, I found it last week and fell in love with it. This show came up in Netflix’s “Recommended for You” list and I had no idea it was an old show. I thought it was a completely new show. I thought, “Wow, between this and Hugh Jackman, Sutton Foster is having a really good time right now.” They are witty, fun, romantic, and have fun while strolling around on their walking pads.
Fitness, health, life and delicious food:
new toothpaste! I’ve been following Doctor B and Dr. Stacey I was excited to try their brand since I’ve been posting on Instagram for a while. It’s *very* sweet, but I love the ingredients and seem to be doing a good job so far. If you are looking for a cleaner toothpaste, please check it out! P tried it last night and loved it.
I ordered a case of this hydrogen water, and although it tasted great, the delivery was terrible. I have mixed feelings because it took a long time to ship and the can was half dented.
Salted chocolate pudding…hmmmm.
Thank you very much for visiting my blog today! Have a great weekend! See you soon!
